Mary Ryan Perkins, age 87 years, of Saluda, South Carolina formerly of McCreary County died July 19, 2012 in Newberry, South Carolina at the White Oak Manor. Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at 11am in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Dixon officiating. Burial was in the Holloway Cemetery.
She was born in Strunk, Kentucky on July 25, 1924 the daughter of the late Howard and Myrtle (Strunk) Ryan. She was a homemaker, member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Apopka, Florida, and enjoyed working crossword puzzles and crocheting.
Her parents; and sisters, Carlene Ryan and Delores “Lois” Wilson precede her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Roy Perkins of Saluda, South Carolina; son, Howard Ben Perkins of Newberry, South Carolina;, daughters, Galia Perkins Stephens of Pine Knot, Kentucky, and Peggy Perkins of Saluda, South Carolina; niece and nephews, Jay Dudley Wilson, Mary Elizabeth Wilson, Josh Wilson, and Ryan Wilson. 4 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 6 great great grandchildren also survive.
