Violet E. Phillips, age 79 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died July 21, 2012 in Corbin, Kentucky at the Baptist Regional Medical Center. Funeral services were held Thursday, July 26, 2012 at 12pm at the Day Ridge Church of God with Pastor Rodrick Foster and Bro. Josh Stephens. Burial was in the Keith-Morrow Cemetery.
She was born in Wiborg, Kentucky on March 3, 1933 the daughter of the late Marshall and Nora (Roberts) Keith. She was a homemaker and a member of the Day Ridge Church of God.
Her parents; husband, Rev. Robert E. Phillips; daughter, Joyce Phillips; and brothers, Albert Keith and Ronald Keith precede her in death.
Survivors include her sons, Don Phillips, Ronnie Phillips, and Dean Phillips all of Whitley City, Kentucky; daughters, Wanda Koger of Stearns, Kentucky and Sheila Cash of Whitley City, Kentucky; brother, Arnold Roy Keith of Whitley City, Kentucky; and sisters, Juanita Auston and Clara Dean Cox both of Somerset, Kentucky. 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren also survive.
