Amy Lee Combs

Amy Lee Combs, age 39 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died Thursday, December 20, 2018 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.

She was born in Somerset, Kentucky on April 2, 1979 the daughter of Gary Clark and the late Nancy (Staley) Clark.  Amy had worked as the Director for the Stearns Museum and was a member of the Sandhill United Baptist Church. She loved sunbathing, watching her son play football, and studying family genealogy.

She is preceded in death by her mother and grandfather, Hoyet Staley.

Survivors include her husband, John Alonzo Combs, Jr.; son, John Thomas Combs both of Whitley City; sister, BJ Combs and fiancé, John Bryant of Pine Knot; grandparents, Freida Staley and Elmer and Glenna Clark all of Whitley City; nieces and nephews, Kaylee Flannery (Ricky), Garett Combs, and Madison Combs; and great nieces and nephews, Makinlee Heath, Keeton Flannery, and Kason Flannery, and numerous cousins.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at 1pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Perry officiating.  The family will receive friends after 11am Wednesday at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in the Taylor Ridge Cemetery.
