Anna Ruth Chesnut Bryant, age 73 years, eleven months and 5 days, wife of Gerald Bryant, passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at Baptist Health Corbin.
She was born March 22, 1945, in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Ruth Boreing Chesnut. Anna was a cook for the McCreary County School System and a member of Whitley City Church of God. She loved attending her church, shopping at thrift stores, junk stores and yard sales, but above all she loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Anna is preceded in death by brother, Carl Chesnut, and sister, Mary King
She is survived by her husband, Gerald Bryant, sons, Jerry Pennington and wife Libby of Stearns, Dr. Joseph Pennington and wife Sybil of Athens, GA., Gerald Lee Bryant and wife Brenda of Marshes Siding, daughters, Jennifer Hamlin and husband Shannon of Pine Knot, Ruth Ridener of Somerset, brother, Charles Chesnut of Cincinnati, OH and sister Phyllis Perkins of Santa Fe, NM, grandchildren, April Ridener, Jacob Ridener, Michael Ridener, Lauren King, Lyndsey Pennington, Grace Bryant, Emily Bryant, Amber Bryant and great- grandchildren, Colton Ridener, Kyra Ridener, Leticia Enriquez and Juana Enriquez.
Funeral services for Anna Ruth Bryant will be held at The Whitley City Church of God, Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 1:00 pm, with Brother Bruce Dixon and Brother Josh Stephens officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am until time for funeral service, burial to follow in Whitley City Church of God Cemetery.
