Beamon Kelland Garland, age 88, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, passed away Friday, November 17, 2017 at Big South Fork Medical Center in Oneida, Tennessee. He was born November 3, 1929 in Pine Knot, Kentucky to the late Roscoe and Lura May (Gilreath) Garland.
Beamon was employed as a factory worker and also a driver for the Older American Program through Job Corp. He enjoyed gardening, squirrel hunting, fishing and UK basketball. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers: Roscoe Garland Jr., Nelson Garland, Lonnie Garland, and Dutell Garland, sisters: Carrie Soard, Clara Privett and Mary Slavey.
He is survived by his wife: Hannah Opal (Crabtree) Garland, of 66 years, two daughters: Debra Sue and husband Conan of Stearns, Kentucky and Donna Kay Ball and her husband Chuck also of Stearns, two sons: Beamon Conley and wife Reda Garland of Stearns, Kentucky, Ronald Lee and wife Charlene Garland of Pine Knot, Kentucky, 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Funeral Services: Monday, November 20, 2017 at 1:00 PM with Bro. Mark Sewell officiating, Kelland Garland will be reading the obituary. Visitation Sunday Evening, November 19, 2017 at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of the McCreary County Funeral Home.
