Betty L West

Mrs. Betty L. West, age 59, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, passed from this life on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky.

Betty was born in Whitley City, Kentucky, on November 14, 1956, the daughter of the late Jess and Ellie Mae (Murphy) Ross.   Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Estil Watson and a brother, Dean Ross.

Surviving family include her husband Carl West of Pine Knot, two daughters: Glenna Garner of Pine Knot and Melinda Ridner (husband, Thomas) of Strunk, Kentucky, four sons: Carlos West of Pine Knot, Allen West (wife Tonya) of Pine Knot, Terry West of Pine Knot, and Jesse West (wife Brittany) of Pine Knot, two brothers: William Ross (wife Irene) of Pine Knot, and Bobby Ross of Sloans Valley, Kentucky, a sister: Mamie Watson of Pine Knot, 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Betty was a homemaker and loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family and enjoyed watching wrestling.

Visitation: Friday, July 15, 2016 at 6:00 p.m.

Funeral: Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with burial to follow in Pine Knot Cemetery.
