Bobby Ray Ross

Bobby Ray Ross, age 71 years, of Strunk, Kentucky died Monday, May 4, 2026 at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky.

He was born in Pine Knot, Kentucky on September 18, 1954 the son of the late Jess and Elle Mae (Murphy) Ross. Bobby was a dump truck driver and of the Baptist Faith. He enjoyed mowing grass and working on lawn mowers.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Louis Dean Ross and William Ross; and sisters, Estell Watson and Betty West.

Survivors include his wife, Kathie (Cooper) Ross of Strunk, Kentucky; sons, Jeremy Lee Stephens (Jamie) of Kettlersville, Ohio and Jayson Byrd (Brandy) of Ohio; daughters, Rayven Shianne Ross (Erik Avender) of Winfield, Tennessee and Chanda Dawn Miller of Ohio; sister, Mamie Watson of Pine Knot, Kentucky; 16 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

In honoring his wish’s cremation was chosen.
