Bro. Kelly W. Tucker

Bro. Kelly W. Tucker, age 75 years, of the Jones Hollow Community died Sunday September 8, 2024 at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky.

He was born in Wayne County, Kentucky on December 30, 1948 the son of the late James W. and Dovie Jane (Roberts) Tucker. Kelly had been the owner of Tucker Logging, was a member of the Wolf Ridge United Baptist Church, and had pastored Lick Creek United Baptist, Pleasant Ridge United Baptist Church, Freedom United Baptist Church and Wolf Ridge United Baptist. He loved attending church, hunting, fishing, horses, and mules.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Howard Tucker; and daughters-in-law, Pamela Tucker and Kimberly Tucker.

Survivors include his wife of over 56 years, Lois (Branscum) Tucker of Stearns, Kentucky; sons, Kelly Tucker Jr. of Stearns, Kentucky, Ronald Tucker and Monte Tucker (Jennifer) both of Monticello, Kentucky; brothers, Clarence Tucker (Mary) and Harold Lee Tucker (Brenda) both of Stearns, Kentucky; 7 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 1pm Thursday, September 12, 2024 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Dwight Davis and Bro. Terry West officiating. Burial will follow in the Tucker Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11am Thursday at the Funeral Home.
