CHRISTINE BURTON

Christine (Hollis) Burton, age 61, wife of David Lee Burton, passed away Monday, August 17, 2020, at her home in Pine Knot, Kentucky.

Born on May 12, 1959, in Marshes Siding, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Glen and Pearl (Williams) Hollis.  Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by a grandchild, Mike Bradley Garland and three sisters, Geraldine Williamson, Marie Hollis and Mollie Manning.

Surviving family include sons: David Burton (wife Toshia) of Pine Knot, Wendell Hollis (wife Ann) of Stearns, Alvis Garland of Pine Knot, and step-son Carlos Burton (wife Stephanie) of Somerset, Kentucky, daughters: Judy Burton of Pine Knot and Christie Garland of Bronston, Kentucky.  She has one brother, Robert Hollis of Stearns and half-sister, Diane.

She was blessed with 14 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Christine was a homemaker and member of the Church of the Living God.  She loved going to church and spending time with her family.  She enjoyed flea marketing and going to yard sales.  She had many friends and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 19, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. David Burton and Bro. Dennis Neal officiating and special music by Israel Clark and Cody Canada.  Burial will follow at the Pine Knot Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until time for services.
