Darrell Leo Ridner

Darrell Leo Ridner, age 64 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky, died Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky.

He was born on July 14, 1959 in Jellico, Tennessee to the late Dow and Alpha (Perry) Ridner. Darrell Had worked as a logger, he enjoyed fishing and camping, but most importantly spending time with his grandbabies. He was a member of the Greenwood Missionary Baptist Church.

His parents; brothers, Richard “Pete” Ridner, Dewey Ridner, Hurstle “John Bill” Ridner; and sisters, Josie Gosnell, Rachel Bryant, Betty Fuller, Juanita “Faye” Lewis precede him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Geraldean (Threet) Ridner of Whitley City Ky; son, Darrell (Heather) Threet of Whitley City Ky ; daughters, Becky (Jordan) Gibson, and Jamie (Brad) Corder both of Whitley City Ky, and Bobbie (Jerry) Bryant of Pine Knot Ky; grandchildren, Johnathan (Miriam) Chriswell, Kahlia Waters, BrantLee Corder, Kye Corder, Rhylee Corder, Dalton Threet, Jeremy Bryant, Joshua Bryant; great grandchildren, Iris, Gracie, Jordyn, Jozie; and sister, Mary Cox of Oneida, TN.

Funeral services will be held 2pm Friday, February 16, 2024 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Ray Sumner and Bro. John Goodin officiating. Burial to follow in the Vanover Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 12pm Friday at the Funeral Home.
