David Miller

David Miller, age 68, of Stearns, Ky., passed away on April 28, 2024, husband of Reda Sue Watson Miller, in Somerset, KY.

David is preceded in death by his parents; Mary Woods Miller Slavey and William Miller, along with his Grandmother; who raised him, Ethel Miller, brothers; Tom and Alvin Miller, and sister; Sue Miller.  He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Reda Sue Watson Miller, daughter; Alma Miller, (Wade Sumler) of Stearns, son; Marvin David Miller of Stearns, brothers; William Miller of Stearns, Rick Miller (Jackie) of Whitley City, Christopher Slavey of Strunk, Charlie and Ovie Miller of Pine Knot, sisters; Rose Hill (Richard of Pine Knot, Willa Hendrickson of Stearns and Willie Janie Cooper-Lohr of Ohio, aunt; Faye Lay (James) of Pine Knot, grandchildren; Adrienne Sumler, Jeremiah Sumler, Benjamin Sumler, Cammeron Sumler, Patience Spradlin and Douglas Vaughn, his American Legion Family, along with numerous other relatives who will mourn his passing.

He enjoyed fishing, watching western movies, wrestling, playing horseshoes, and cards, but above all else he loved spending time with his friends, family and grandchildren.   He took pride is being a member of the Color Guard, American Legion, Post 115 in Stearns, Kentucky.

Funeral services for David will be held in the Chapel of McCreary County Funeral Home on  Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at 1:00 pm, with visitation beginning at 11:00 am, until time of funeral with Bro. Dewayne Perry officiating.  Burial will follow in Kings Cemetery.

McCreary County Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for David Miller.
