Della D. Maxwell- Young

Della D. Maxwell Young, age 53, passed away Friday, January 16, 2015, at her home in Revelo, Kentucky.

Della was a homemaker who enjoyed her family and being a grandmother.  She also enjoyed fishing and camping.

She was born July 19, 1961 in Hamilton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Lander Perry and Vina Lee (Davis) Maxwell.  Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother; Henry Maxwell, two sisters; Joan Lyons and Nancy Maxwell and a granddaughter; Shaelynn Crabtree.

Surviving family members include her ex-husband Richard Young, two daughters; Kathie Jo Catron (and Matthew Lyons) of Monticello and Bobbie Jane Duncan (and Timothy Crabtree) of Whitley City, and a son Dillard Henry Green of LaGrange, Kentucky.  She has eleven grandchildren.

Her brothers are Junior Maxwell (and Linda) of Whitley City, Virgil Maxwell of Ohio, Lander Judge Maxwell of Cincinnati and sisters; Ruby Douglas Roberts of Tennessee, Katherine Maxwell of Stearns, and Beulah Maxwell of Whitley City.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 21, 2015, at 12:00 noon in the chapel of McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Claude Davis officiating.  Burial was in the Denney Cemetery at Upper Turkey Creek in Wayne County.
