Donald "Duck" Robert Catron

Donald “Duck” Robert Catron, age 44 years, of Parkers Lake, Kentucky died December 12, 2023 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky.

He was born in Parkers Lake, Kentucky on May 12, 1979 the son of Oscar C. and Betty Lou (Perry) Catron. Duck had worked as a logger and enjoyed logging, drawing, music, but his favorite was his mother.

His father, Oscar C. Catron; step father, Dennis McDonald; brothers, Melvin Catron and Charles Catron; and sisters, Joyce Nipper and Barbara Smith precede him in death.

Survivors include his mother, Betty Catron of Parkers Lake, Kentucky; wife, Kathie Catron of Stearns, Kentucky; sons, Ethan Catron of Whitley City, Kentucky and Jeremiah Vanover; daughter, Courtney Catron and husband, Ethan Strunk of Pine Knot, Kentucky; brother, James Catron of Parkers Lake, Kentucky; sisters, Jeannie Crabtree (Scott Jones) of Corbin, Kentucky, Linda Worley (Eddie) of Berea, Kentucky, and Shirley Perry of Reven, Virginia; grandchildren, Peyton and Traceyn Perry; AdaLynn and Waylon Massengale, and Easton Strunk; best friend, Karen Vanover; nieces and nephews, Ashley, Brandon, Madison, Jacob, Conner, and Emily.

Funeral services will be held 2pm Saturday December 16, 2023 at the Pleasant Knob Baptist Church with Bro. Jerry Myers officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Knob Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11am Saturday at the Church.
