Donna Kay Meadows

Donna Kay Meadows, age 68 years, of Stearns, Kentucky passed away peacefully at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 with her son, Jonathan and special niece and nephew, Heather and Brian Yancey by her side.

She was born in Somerset, Kentucky on January 24, 1954 the daughter of Joel and Eula (Roberts) King. Donna was passionate about flower gardening. She was known for having a green thumb, and could grow almost anything. She also loved feeding all the wild animals and stray animals in her neighborhood, going on drives and spending time with her family.

Donna retired from the McCreary County School System after 26 years of service, and was a member of the New Haven United Baptist Church.

Her parents; sisters, Janice Kidd (Donald Lee) and Judy King; brother, Gayle King; and father of her children and dear friend, Ron Meadows precede her in death.

Survivors include her sons, Jonathan Meadows of Stearns, Kentucky, and Matthew Meadows of Marianna, Florida; special niece and nephew, Heather and Brian Yancey of Stearns, Kentucky; brothers, Noel King (Ella Mae) of Stearns, Kentucky and Tommy King (Dianne) of Beaver Dam, Kentucky; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be held 2-4pm Sunday, March 13, 2022 at the McCreary County Funeral Home. Graveside services to follow at the Angel Cemetery with Bro. Tim Corder officiating.
