Donnie Stephens, age 57 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died August 19, 2013 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky. Memorial Services will be conducted at a later date; burial will be in the Laurel Cemetery.
He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on November 7, 1955 the son of the late Henry Clark and Gladys (Elmore) Stephens. He was of the Baptist faith and loved hunting, fishing and music.
His parents; and brothers, Henry “Hank†Stephens, and Charles Stephens and sister, Shirley Ann Rowlett precede him in death.
Survivors include son, Jason Stephens of Alabama; daughters, Julie Cole and April Patterson both of Alabama ; brothers, Joseph Barkley Stephens of Whitley City, Kentucky, Richard Steve Stephens of Bronston, Kentucky, Ronnie L. Stephens (Vicky) of Richmond, Kentucky, and William E. Stephens (Betty) of Versailles, Kentucky, James R. Stephens, Whitley City, Kentucky Glen Wayne Stephens (Carolyn) of Monticello, Kentucky and Mike Stephens (Barbara), of Whitley City, Kentucky, sisters, Donna Dean Gibson (Jimmy) of Whitley City, Kentucky and Debbie Kay Yokley, (Mark) of Asheville, North Carolina. 5 grandchildren and one grandchild on the way, also survive.
