Doris G. Goins, a beloved member of the community, passed away on January 16, 2024, at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky. She was surrounded by her loving family during her final moments. Doris was born on February 17, 1962, in Somerset, Kentucky to late Eckle and Celta (Morgan) Bryant.

Doris had a remarkable career as a cake decorator for Kroger. She poured her heart and soul into creating beautiful confections that brought joy to countless customers. Her creativity and attention to detail were unmatched, leaving behind an indelible mark on all those who enjoyed her creations. She was a member of the Mill Creek Community Church.

Outside of work, Doris cherished time spent with her grandchildren and looked forward to family gatherings. She had a passion for couponing and used her skills to find the best deals for herself and loved ones. Doris was a kind-hearted woman with a radiant smile that would light up any room she entered.

Doris is survived by her devoted husband, Dave Goins, who stood by her side through thick and thin. Together they created a loving home filled with warmth and laughter. Her legacy will live on through their wonderful children: Bo Goins (Brandy) and Monica Ridner (Sam). 

Doris also leaves behind a brother: Jay Bryant (Carolyn); and the deceased siblings are Allen Bryant, Becky Lynn Perry, Vickie Taylor, and Jennifer Bryant. Each sibling shared a unique bond with Doris that resonated throughout their lives.

In addition to her children and brother, Doris is survived by an abundance of grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life: Aaliyah Ridner, Kylie Ridner, Nicklaus Ridner, Natalie Goins, and Jacob Goins; bonus grandchildren Havyn, Skylar, Bailey, Kelsey, Raylen, Brantlee, Kendal, Gus, Archie, Brook, and Alaina. Each grandchild held a special place in Doris's heart, and her love for them knew no bounds.

The visitation service to pay tribute to Doris's extraordinary life will take place on Friday, January 19, 2024, at the McCreary County Funeral Home in Whitley City, Kentucky. Family and friends are invited to gather after 6:00 PM to share cherished memories and offer support during this difficult time.

A funeral service will be held the following day Saturday, January 20, 2024, also at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Clay Cook and Bro. Ronnie Decker officiating. The service will commence at 2:00 PM and provide an opportunity for all those whose lives were touched by Doris to come together in celebration of her legacy. Burial will follow in the Bryant Family Cemtery. 

Please join us as we celebrate the life of Doris G. Goins and honor the incredible person she was. She may no longer be with us physically but will forever live on in our hearts and memories.
