Douglas Vaughn, age 62 years, of Stearns, Kentucky died Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at the UK Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.

He was born in Slavans, Kentucky on January 12, 1961 the son of Lewis “Buddy” and Dorothy Mae (Phillips) Vaughn. Doug was Superintendent for Otis Minnesota Services and member of the Cedar Grove United Baptist Church. Being known as the “Gentle Giant”, Doug cared for his family and everyone around him especially, his babies and grandbabies.

His parents precede him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Linda (Jones) Vaughn of Stearns, Kentucky; daughters, Heather Morrow and Megan Vaughn both of Stearns, Kentucky; sisters, Joan Bell (Rickie) of Stearns, Kentucky, Carol Vaughn (Jay) of Shopville, Kentucky, Mary Roberts of Whitley City, Kentucky, Sharon Anderson of Monticello, Kentucky, and Angie Godsey (Jr.) of Monticello, Kentucky; and grandchildren, Ashton Morrow and Aleeya Morrow.

Funeral services will be held 2pm Saturday, April 1, 2023 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Corder officiating.  Burial will follow in the Rock Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11am Saturday at the Funeral Home.
