Dr. Nancy Kathryn West

Dr. Nancy Kathryn West, age 73 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died Monday March 19, 2018 at the Baptist Health Center of Lexington, Kentucky.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 23, 2018 at 11am at the First Baptist Church Whitley City with Bro. Jerald Burgess, Bro. Garry Perry, and Bro. Mike Casada officiating.  Burial will follow in the Higginbotham Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 6pm Thursday, March 22, 2018 at the Church.

Nancy was born in Stearns, Kentucky. the daughter of Clifford and Virginia Katherine (Bryant) West. She was a member of the Stearns First Baptist Church and attended the First Baptist Church Whitley City and other churches in Lexington, Kentucky. She enjoyed traveling, reading, and entertaining nieces and nephews. Nancy had served as a family physician for nearly 40 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents and Barry Perry, whom she considered her own son.

Survivors include her companion, Dr. Hoover Alfred Perry of Whitley City; brothers, Kenneth “Bud” West (Jane) of Stearns; sisters, Mary Byrd (Eugene) of Oneida, Tennessee, Sue Ross (Jim), Patricia Vanover, and Bobbie Jo Sharp all of Stearns; children whom she thought of as her own, Larry Perry of Stearns and Garry Perry (Heather) of Lexington; nieces and nephews, Mark, Jimmie, Dale, Tammie, Christopher, Jenny Ann, Darian, Daniel, Laura Jo, Justin, Dustin, Joshua, and Katie; grandchildren, Bryan Perry, Marylee Underwood, Melanie Casada, Micah Perry, Makayla Perry, Maggie Perry, and Malachi Perry; great nieces and nephews, Megan, Houston, Tori, Ashton, Triston, Ivan, Benjamin, Isabella, Holden, Dallas, Marklee, Breckon, and Mercy; and great grandchildren, Ashley Perry, Bryanna Smart, Carter Underwood, Rachel Casada, Ryan Casada, and Reece Casada.
