Earl Matthew Jones

Earl Matthew Jones, age 88 years of Whitley City KY, died August 12, 2024 at his home.

He was born in Ritner KY on May 12, 1936 to the late Ralph and Rhoda (Maxwell) Jones. Earl was a carpenter by trade and a member of the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed anything to do with the outdoors especially hunting, fishing, and digging for ginseng.

Earl is preceded in death by his parents; son, Estle Jones; sisters, Randie Corder, Nora Parks, and Adell Whitehead; brothers, George Jones, Orville Jones, and half-brother, Willie Jones.

Survivors include his wife Clara O. Jones of Whitley City KY; son Ricky Jones of Pine Knot KY; daughter, Lisa Jones Winchester of Whitley City KY; grandchildren Bradley Jones, Kurtise Jones, and Tracie Coffey; great grandchild, Caroline Jones

Funeral Services will be held 1pm Wednesday August 14, 2024 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Timothy Corder officiating burial to follow in the Pine Knot Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation after 11am Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
