Flora Boyatt

Flora Boyatt, age 89 years, of Stearns, Kentucky died Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at her home.

She was born in Co-operative, Kentucky on January 19, 1929 the daughter of the late Jasper and Vertie (Waters) Tapley. Flora was a homemaker, a member of the Taylor Ridge United Baptist Church, and loved traveling, shopping, and going to the auctions.

Besides her parents, her husband, Harvey Boyatt; daughter, Linda Strunk; brother, Donald Tapley; and sisters, Hazel Slaven and Sheila Thompson precede her in death.

Survivors include her daughter, Karen Creekmore (Jack) of Strunk, Kentucky; brothers, Ronald Tapley of Whitley City and Jimmy Tapley of Stearns; sister, Vella Winchester; grandchildren Amber Madden, Justin Creekmore, and Danny Strunk; and great grandchildren, Natalee Strunk, Dexter Strunk, and Jaxon Creekmore.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 12pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Rev. Rufus Hughes officiating. Burial to follow in the Angel Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 6pm Friday October, 19, 2018 at the funeral home.
