Rachel Wilson, age 89, of Whitley City, Kentucky died Thursday, April 9, 2026 at the Big Southfork Medical Center in Oneida, Tennessee.

Rachel was born in Straight Creek (Parkers Lake), KY., to the late Rev. Charles Keith and Evelyn (Owens) Keith. Rachel was a Christian and she was a member of Flat Rock Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for the ladies from 1983 to 2021, she was the Director for Vacation Bible school, and the song leader from 1971 until her death.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Loren Mason of 25 years, also preceding her is “Cleo” James Wilson whom she married on December 4, 1986. Sisters, Pauline and her husband, Bob Sumner, and Betty New, nephew, Alan Keith and his wife Adrian.

She is survived by her sister, Anna K. Six of Whitley City, Ky; brother, Clifford and his wife Linda Keith of Stearns, KY., Nieces and Nephews; Dennis and wife Carrie Keith, Noel and wife Amy Keith, Cindy and husband Wayne New, Teresa and husband Larry Brown, and Bobby Sumner; and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Rachel worked as a Clerk for Burgess Drug Store for many years.

Funeral services for Rachel Wilson will be 2pm Monday, April 13, 2026 in the Chapel of McCreary County Funeral Home, officiating is Brother Danny Staley with visitation beginning at 12:00 pm and burial to follow in Nevelsville Cemetery.

McCreary County Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements of Rachel Wilson.
