Geraldine Hicks departed from this life on Friday, November 3, 2017 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital being 74 years, 15 days and 1 months old. She was born in McCreary County on October 15, 1943 to the late Edwin Sumner and Nora Perry.
Geraldine was a member of the Taylor Ridge United Baptist Church. She was a homemaker; enjoyed cooking, cleaning, shopping and her grandchildren.
Preceding her in death is her husband: Arvil Lee Hicks, daughter: Patricia Hicks, and brother: Donald Sumner.
Surviving family includes: sons: Scottie Hicks (wife Susie), Ronnie Hicks, brothers: Bobby Gene Sumner (wife Ruth), Richard Sumner, sister in law: Linda Sumner all of Whitley City, Kentucky, grandchildren: Tabitha Slaven (husband Kyler), Morgan Hicks-Stogsdill, Summer Hicks, great grandchildren: Noahlee Grace Slaven, and one on the way.
Funeral Services: 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 8, 2017 in the chapel of McCreary County Funeral Home.
Visitation: Tuesday, November 7, 2016 from 6:00-9:00 P.M., at the funeral home.
Burial: Taylor Ridge Cemetery
McCreary County Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
