Gertrude Morgan Wilson, age 88 years, of Parkers Lake, Kentucky died Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky.

She was born in Bald Rock, Kentucky February 12, 1936 the daughter of the late Joe Morgan and Telvis (Anders) Morgan Hamilton. Gertrude had worked for the McCreary County School System as an Instructional Aide and was a member of the Mill Creek Community Church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William “W.O.” Wilson; daughter, Kathy Rollins; brothers, Clarence Morgan, Green Morgan, Ray Morgan, and Harold Morgan; sister, Cleta Bryant; and 2 great grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Roger Wilson (Karen) of Whitley City, Kentucky; daughters, Debbie Campbell (Harold) of Whitley City, Kentucky, Terry Baird of Arcadia , Florida, Sheri Phillips (Allen) of Whitley City, Kentucky, and Darla Gabaldon (Leo) of Magalena, New Mexico; sisters, Mildred Warman of Somerset, Kentucky and Imogene Staley of Parkers Lake, Kentucky; son-in-law, Roger Rollins of Fremont, Ohio; 18 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held 11am Saturday, October 19, 2024 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Timothy Corder and Bro. Ronnie Decker officiating. Burial will follow in the Mill Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 6pm Friday, October 18, 2024 at the Funeral Home.
