Gladys Dean Head

Gladys Dean Head, age 70, of Parkers Lake, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2016, at her home.

She was a Homemaker, loving Wife, Mother, and Grandmother.  She was a member of the Sawyer Baptist Church and enjoyed working puzzles, face booking, and quilting.

Gladys was born in the Parkers Lake, Kentucky on July 22, 1945, to the late Earl and Rosie Elizabeth (Hicks) Ridner.  Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Oscar “Hoss” Head, whom she married August 4, 1965, her son, Carl Ivan Head, two brothers: James “Red” Ridner, George “Clayton” Ridner.

Surviving family include her Sons, Roy (wife Betty) Head, Parkers Lake, Billy Ray Head (wife Chasity) of Parkers Lake, daughters: Marlena (husband Delmer “Hicks”) Goodin, Donna Ridenour and companion Isaac Thomas all of Parkers Lake.  She has four surviving brothers: Clinton “Brown” Ridner, Parkers Lake, Clifton Ridner, Wiborg, Manuel “Coo” Ridner, Parkers Lake, Doyle Ray Ridner, Parkers Lake: Seven surviving sisters are: Shirley Agabright, Parkes Lake, Zonia Campbell, Whitley City, Dora Stanton, Whitley City, Mary “Mooge” Rollins, Parkers Lake, Terry Gale Jones, Parkers Lake, Donna Sue Ridner, Parkers Lake and Pauline Caudwell Craig, London.  She is also survived by ten grandchildren: Shana and Wendell Higginbotham, Curtis and Rebecca Head, Stephanie and Saxton Sneed, Nikki Goodin, Dakota Davis, KC Goodin, Shay Goodin, Nanner Goodin, Keshia and Chucky Hurd, James Ridenour, and Keirstin Ridenour, Nine Great-grandchildren, Eight step-grandchildren, Jessica, Anna and James, Cathy, Brenda, Pam, Mike and Greg,  also 13 step-great grandchildren. 

Funeral services:  2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 2, 2016, at Sawyer Missionary Baptist Church

Burial:  Rock Branch Cemetery

Visitation: Family will receive friends Monday, February 1, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. at her Home.
