Glenna Mildred Bryant

April 20, 1937 — February 6, 2018

Mildred Bryant, was born April 20, 1937 in McCreary County.  She went peacefully and joyfully to be with the Lord, Tuesday, February 6, 2018.  She is preceded in death by her parents; Charlie and Elsie Vanover, Husband: Theodore Bryant; Sisters: Ruby Griewe, Lela Hansford, and Wilma Stephens. Brother: Larry A. Vanover, and one child, Daniel Theodore Bryant.

Surviving children: Debra Kay Cash and husband, Teddy of Stearns, Ky., Janet and Denver Wilson of Stearns, Ky., Wayne and Jean Bryant of Georgetown, Ky., Wanda and  David Hamlin of Pine Knot, Ky., Greg and Beverly Bryant of Hamilton, Oh.

Grand-children: Preston King, Michelle Kidd, Travis Cash, Brian Hamlin, Craig Hamlin, Bradford Bryant, Jared Bryant, Zachary Bryant, Valerie McDonald, Jordan Bryant, Brooke Bryant and one step grand-daughter, Autumn Nordi and a host of great grand-children.

Mildred worked at Dupont Lodge and in the McCreary School District before retiring.

She enjoyed attending Church and was a life-long member of Indian Creek United Baptist Church and currently a member of the Second Baptist Church of Whitley City.  She loved camping and going to church with her children.  She was a devoted wife and loving mother, and deeply loved by her children.  Our mother will be sadly missed, we know our loss is heavens gain.

Funeral service Friday, February 9, 2018 at 1pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Patrick and Bro. Mark Sewell officiating. Burial to follow in the Higginbotham Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11am Friday at the funeral home.
