Gregory Lane Vanover

Gregory "Greg" Lane Vanover, age 67 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died Monday July 6, 2026 at his home.

He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on November 30, 1958 the son of the late Alonzo and Anna Belle (Abbott) Vanover. Greg was had owned and operated Robert's Furniture and was a member of the Whitley City Church of God and the Stearns Golf Course. He enjoyed collecting golf balls, and helping record music CD's for other, but his wife, daughter, and granddaughter, were his world.

In addition to his parents; he is preceded in death by his brothers, Richard Vanover, David Vanover, Gary Vaonver, Douglas Vanover, Mike Vanover.

Survivors include his wife, Sheila (Roberts) Vanover of Whitley City, Kentucky; daughter, Michelle King and husband, Shane of Stearns, Kentucky; granddaughter, Cadence King; sisters, Sharon Adkins of Stearns, Kentucky and Sherry Terry of Huntsville, Tennessee; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2pm Thursday, July 9, 2026 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Eddie King officiating. Burial will follow in the Angel Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 12pm Thursday at the Funeral Home.
