Hilery Edward New

Hilery Edward New, age 86 years, of Florence, Kentucky died November 22, 2024 at the St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood, Kentucky.

He was born in Stearns, Kentucky on July 15, 1938 the son of the late Rev. Isaac Samuel and Alcie Jane (Keith) New. Hilery was a loving son, husband, father, and grandfather. His main job was working with sheet metal, but he had worked in various other jobs. Working in the yard, going to yard sales and flea markets were his favorite past times.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Leo New, Leland New, and Forrest New; sisters, Monnie Coffey, Ethel Tucker, Mossie Jones, Juanita, Willa Dean Hamilton, Easter Tucker, Luttie Tucker, and 3 infants; and great grandson, Aiden Wagner.

Survivors include his wife, Stella Joyce (Keith) New; children, Debbie Wagner (Bruce), David New, Barb King (Tim), and Terri Lindeman (Tyler); grandchildren, Sara Brandon, Zoe, Megan, Timmy, Amber, and Angel; and great grandchildren, Mollie, Nora, Crew, Kaleb, Laney, Jarrett, Kyle, Brooke, Kendall, Theodore, and Vivian.

Funeral services will be held 12pm Monday, November 25, 2024 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Dwight Davis officiating. Burial to follow in the Sammy New Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11am Monday at the Funeral Home.
