Irene Sumner Perry, age 84 years, of Parkers Lake, Kentucky died Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at the Baptist Health of Corbin.

She was born in Whitley City, Kentucky on June 26, 1938 the daughter of Elbert and Dora (Cox) Sumner. Irene was a cook at the Falls Motel. She was a member at Taylor Ridge United Baptist Church. Irene enjoyed gardening, flowers, coloring, and game shows. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Her parents; daughter in law, Helen Perry; brother, Estil Sumner; sisters, Glenna Strunk, Hazel Patton, and Thersa Worley; and 3 grandchildren proceed her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Norman S. Perry of Parkers Lake, Kentucky; children Gary Perry of Parkers Lake, Larry Gene Perry (Becky) of Cincinnati Ohio, Norman Perry, Jr. Parkers Lake, Kathern Perry (Glen) Parkers Lake, Kimberly Sue Lynch (Gary), Parkers Lake, Stanley Sumner (Jewel), Burnside Kentucky, Noble Sumner (Pat), Cincinnati Ohio, Carl Sumner, Cincinnati Ohio, Bonnie Watters (Harry), Whitley City, 11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 16 great great grandchildren whom she loved so dearly; and caregiver, Debbie.

Funeral Services will be held 12pm Monday, November 7, 2022 at the McCreary County Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Higginbotham Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11am Monday at the Funeral Home.
