Irene Stanton

Irene Stanton, age 65 years, of Parkers Lake, Kentucky died October 8, 2018 at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky.

She was born in Day Ridge, Kentucky on October 26, 1952 the daughter of the Gaylon New and Dovie (Martin) New Keith. Irene was a homemaker, a member of the Day Ridge Church of God and her greatest joy in life was taking care of her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Ralph D. Stanton whom she married March 15, 1968; son, Timothy Stanton (Kara Michelle); brother, Dillard New (Wendy) all of Parkers Lake; grandchildren, Savannah and Desirae Stanton and Davy and Taylor Kingsley; and nieces and nephews, Nancy New (Eddie), Mary Ellen Burchfield (Eddie), Alex New (Stacy), Emily Woodcock (Daniel), Brittany Burchfield, David Stanton (Juanita) and Roger Stanton (Rosalee).

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 4 pm in the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Reginald New officiating. Burial to follow in the Greenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 2pm Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
