James D. Goodin

James D. " Jimmy John" Goodin age 73 of Parkers Lake, Kentucky died on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. 

He was born January 6, 1952 in Tiffin, Ohio to the late Denton "June" Goodin and Dorothy (Perry) Dull. 

In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his wife, Pearl Ethel (Rose) Goodin; and sisters, Betty Reinhart, Shirley Emahiser, Linda Rose, and Lori Goodin. 

Surviving family include sons, Christopher Wayne Rose (and Wahena) of Parkers Lake, Jackson Renfro of Parkers Lake, Devin Rose of Philadelphia, PA, and Denton Raymond Goodin of Ohio; a daughter, Nicole Lynn Goodin of Ohio; grandchildren, Kaden Cummins, Kloe Cummins, Matthew Young, Katie Young, Benjamin Wayne Young, Nevaeh Young, Jacey Young, Mark Young, and Starlin Young; and his step-father, Elmer Dull of Tiffin, Ohio.

Also surviving are his brothers, Harold Goodin (and Brenda) of Mississippi, Jeffery Goodin (and Ann) of Bercyrus, Ohio, and Mickey Goodin (and Misty) of Ohio; and sisters, Kate Emahiser of Fostoria, Ohio, Rose Whitney (and Tom) of Sanford, Florida, and Martha Price (and Craig) of Parkers Lake. 

James had been a Truck Driver for Pemberton. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and tinkering. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Corder officiating. Burial to follow in the Rose Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday after 12:00 noon until services.
