James Dean Tucker

James D. Tucker, age 32, son of Ricky Dean Tucker and Regina Jones Weber, passed from this life on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky.   He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on January 15, 1986.

James worked in the deli at Kroger for many years, he was on the Deans list the two years he attended Cumberland College.

James is survived by his parents Ricky and Shonda Tucker of Strunk, KY.,  and Regina Jones Weber and husband Louis of Burnside, KY., wife, Kasie Phelps Tucker of Whitley City, her parents James & Etta Phelps, son, Blake Cameron Phelps-Tucker, step-son, Aaron Phelps of Whitley City, KY., brother, Joshua Derrick Tucker, sister, Haley Shanen Tucker both of Whitley City, KY., maternal grand-parents, James “Buddy” Jones of Jellico, TN and Shelba Watters of Whitley City, many aunts, uncles and cousins along with special friend Terry Rice.

He is proceeded in death by his paternal grand-parents, Clyde and Gladys Keith Tucker.

James enjoyed music and video games, but spending time with his family was most important to him.

Funeral for James is Tuesday in the chapel of the McCreary County Funeral Home at 12:00 pm with Visitation for James on Monday evening from 6:00 to 9:00 pm with Brother Eddie King and Damon Stevens officiating and burial to follow in the Strunk Yancey cemetery.
