Janie Lohoma Hurd

Janie Lohoma Hurd, age 77 years, of Parkers Lake, Kentucky died Thursday, july 15, 2021 at her home.

She was born in McCreary County, Kentucky on March 7, 1944 the daughter of WIllis P. and Linda Evelyn (Ridner) Goodin. Janie was a homemaker, a member of the Mill Creek Methodist Church, and enjoyed singing and gardening.

Her parents; husband, William Paul Hurd; son, Michael Hurd; brothers, Claude Goodin, Willis P. Goodin, Jr. and Roy Goodin; and sisters, Dorothy Ridner, Elsie Mae Goodin, Irene Ross, and Ella Mae "Grace" Goodin precede her in death.

Survivors include her sons, Bobby Hurd, Tony William Hurd (Rachel), Nathan Paul Hurd, and Joseph Hurd (Samantha) all of Parkers Lake, Kentucky; daughter, Rosetta Hurd of Parkers Lake, Kentucky; brothers, Rev. Dow Goodin (Ellen), Howard Goodin (Joyce) both of Parkers Lake, Kentucky, Kenny Goodin (Geneva) of Whitley City, Kentucky; sisters, Carolyn Coleman (Dave) of Burnside, Kentucky and Linda Sue Vanover of Pine Knot, Kentucky; grandchildren, Anthony, Shelia, Tiffany, Brittany, Tony Ray, and Ralston; and great grandchildren, Ruben, Krystal, Angie Kylie, Kendal, and Bretlee.

Funeral services will be held 1pm Saturday, July 17, 2021 at the Mill Creek Methodist Church with Bro. John Goodin and Bro. Ronnie Decker officiating. Burial will follow in the Mill Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 5pm Friday, July 16, 2021 at her home, 480 Hurd Ridge Rd, Parkers Lake, KY 42634. She will lie in state at the Church Saturday from 12pm until funeral time.
