JERRELL CRAIG REYNOLDS

Jerrell “Jerry” Craig Reynolds, age 62, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2026, at his home in Whitley City, Kentucky.

He was born on October 21, 1963, to the late Billy J. Reynolds and Ruth Dean (Craig) Reynolds. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother Billy Hobson.

Surviving family include children, Wendy Walker (Terrance) of Louisville, Kentucky, Krista Hicks, of Virginia, Courtney England (Brandon Ross) of Stearns, Kentucky, Sara Lindsey of Monticello, Kentucky and Jessica Gibson (Patrick) of Frankfort, Kentucky.

He has two surviving brothers; Tim Reynolds of Parkers Lake, Kentucky and James Hobson of Florida and two sisters: Dawn Hobson of North Carolina and Joey Sund of Florida.

His grandchildren are Tyler, Cheyanne, Nicholas, Ethan, Daniel, Thomas, John, Luna, Jaxon, Emilee, Brandon, Annaliese, Lyam, Abhileen, and Kamila.

Jerry had been an alternative teacher for the McCreary County School District and a teacher for the Sommerset Community College. He served his country in the United States Army, and had been a member of the Whitley City Church of God. His favorite pastime was playing golf, watching football and basketball.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 14, 2026, in the chapel of McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Bruce Dixon officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Whitley City Church of God Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday from 12:00 noon until time for services.
