Jimmy Don Taylor

Jimmy Don Taylor, age 68, of Sevierville, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018 in Knox County.  He was born August 19, 1949 in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Ruby Allen Taylor and the late Floyd Taylor.

Jimmy was a self-employed construction worker who really enjoyed building various things and tinkering in his woodshop, he loved camping, traveling, spending time with his family and his German Shepherd, Boone.  He was devoted to taking care of his beloved mother.  Along with volunteering at the nursing home where his mother resides, he loved supporting his community.  

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by Pamela Taylor; the mother of his only child. 

He is survived by his mother: Ruby Taylor, his daughter: Lisa Taylor Chin and her husband Alex, cousin: Jerry Procter, Kip Taylor, niece: Tracy Lightfield, two grandchildren: Julia and Joseph Terino, along with many other friends and family.  

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of the McCreary County Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 12:00 noon until time for services.  Burial will follow in the Mill Creek Cemetery.
