Judy Ann Chitwood

Judy Ann Chitwood, age 77 years, of Marshes Siding, Kentucky died Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky.

She was born in Wiborg, Kentucky on October 28, 1948 the daughter of the late Harold and Ethel (Martin) Wyatt. Judy was a homemaker and a member of the Whitley City Church of God since 1981. She enjoyed attending her church and being with her church friends, but especially her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Jim Wyatt, Roy Wyatt, Carl Wyatt, and Lawrence Wyatt; and sisters, Martha Wyatt, Gladys Atkins, Mary Troxell, Francis Terry, Norma Maxey, and Betty Perry.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, John Walter Chitwood of Marshes Siding, Kentucky; children, Cynthia Worley (Karl) of Pine Knot, Kentucky, Thomas Chitwood (Tamera) of Pine Knot, Kentucky, and Chris Chitwood of Whitley City, Kentucky; sisters, Wanda Roberts (Mike) of Whitley City, Kentucky and Brenda Wyatt of Whitley City, Kentucky; grandchildren, Tyler (Tammy), Jessica (Justin), Brittany (Dylan), Lindsey (Chris), Angel (Michael), Jessica (Russell), and Joseph;13 great grandchildren; and a special niece, Sharon Kidd.

Funeral services will be held 2pm Friday, July 17, 2026 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Bruce Dixon officiating. Burial will follow in the Chitwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 12pm Friday at the Funeral Home.
