Karen Sue Ridenour

Karen Sue Ridenour, age 69 years, of Parkers Lake, Kentucky died Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at her home.

She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on February 20, 1955 the daughter of the late Rodney Gumm and Mary Ellen Stone. Karen had worked as a housekeeper for the Cumberland Falls State Park, and enjoyed shopping and yard sales.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Rodney “Tubby” Gumm, Billy Gumm, Ricky Gumm, and Jr. Gumm.

Survivors include her husband, James W. Ridenour of Parkers Lake, Kentucky; children, Tonya Gumm of Parkers Lake, Kentucky, James E. Ridenour of Parkers Lake, Kentucky, and Ginger Ann Taylor of Winfield, Tennessee; sisters, Cathy Woodrow of Batavia, Ohio and Betty Gumm of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren, Hannah, Julia, James, Kieristin, Robert, Taylor Ann, and Patama; and 1 great grandchild.

Gathering of family and friends will be 11am-12pm Saturday, January 4, 2025 at the McCreary County Funeral Home. Cremation to follow.
