Katherine Cox, age 77 years, of Williamsburg, Kentucky died December 18, 2025 at her daughter’s home in Crestview, Florida.

She was born in Chicago Heights, Illinois on September 23, 1948 the daughter of the late Ivan and Lillian (Ballou) Brown. Katherine was a retired School Bus Driver for Nassau County and Duvall County. She enjoyed driving her husband crazy, sewing and assisting husband on everything.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James D. Cox and sister, Diana Witkowski.

Survivors include her son Charlie I. Dwight Cox (Joanna) of Callahan, Florida; daughters, Dawn Marie Muiana Crestview, Florida, and Susie May Cox of Collinsville, Virginia; brother, Victor Brown (Lou) of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; sisters, Gail Odonnell (Kevin) of West Palm Beach, Florida, Lisa Brown of Jacksonville, Florida, and Roxanne Johnson (Tom) of Washington State; grandchildren, Ashlie Brannen, Nicole Woodard, Ashlynn (Brice), Victoria Parcell, Christopher Woodard, William Parcell and Christina David; great grandchild, Jayden; and niece, Stephanie Brown.

Memorial service will be held 2pm Friday, May 1, 2026 at the McCreary County Funeral Home. The family will receive friends after 1pm Friday at the Funeral Home.
