Kenna Sue Sumner

Kenna Sue Roberts Sumner, passed from this life on August 30, 2017, at her home in Strunk, Kentucky.  She was 53 years old.

She was born in Osceola, Florida, on May 22, 1964, to the late Billie Kenneth and Martha Sue (Privett) Roberts.  Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Thomas “Fuzz” Roberts.

Surviving family include her husband, Gary “Nig” Sumner of Strunk,, her only daughter: Alisha “Nickie” Tucker (companion Ryan West) of Berea, Kentucky, a step-son: Jarrod Sumner (wife Rebecca) of Somerset, Kentucky, step-daughters: Sheila Sumner of Somerset and Stephanie Tucker of Whitley City, two sisters: Angela Daugherty (husband Jim) of Strunk, Tina Haire (husband David) of Sanford,  Florida, three brothers: Timothy Roberts(and Diana Crabtree), Scott Roberts (wife Sandra) and Jess Roberts (wife Felicia) all of Strunk, step grandchildren: Jase Sumner, Anastasia and Jakeb Tucker, one step-great-grandson, Indigo “Indie” Ellis.

Kenna had been a factory worker for most of her life and a homemaker for the last several years.  She enjoyed sewing, reading and could always make others laugh.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 3, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. David Troxell, Johnny Farmer and Royce Huddleston.  Burial will be at the Silerville Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday from 12:00 noon until time for services at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
