Kenny New

Kenny New, age 57 years, of the Hilltop Community, died Friday, April 17, 2026 at the Baptist Health Corbin, Kentucky.

He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on December 9, 1968 the son of the late Joe Odes and Sue (Patton) New. Kenny had worked with his father laying carpet, and enjoyed being in the outdoors hunting, fishing, and ginseng digging.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Joe Allen New.

Survivors include his sons, Joshua New of Stearns, Kentucky and Jimmy Troxell of Parkers Lake, Kentucky; brother, James New and wife, Stephanie of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee; his companion, Ginger Gregory of Stearns, Kentucky; nephews, Tristan and Ethan New; and 6 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 5pm Monday, April 20, 2026 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Timothy Corder officiating. Burial will follow in the Hickman Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 3pm Monday at the Funeral Home.
