Lansford Stephens

Lansford Stephens, age 78 of Pine Knot, Ky. died Wednesday March 25, 2026 at Scott Co. Hospital in Oneida, TN.

Lansford was born in McCreary County on September 27, 1947 to the late Artie and Hazel Litton Stephens. He had been a factory worker for American Tank. He also worked as a coal miner for Blue Diamond Coal Company and worked for the McCreary County School District. He enjoyed his family, the outdoors, and watching boxing. 

Lansford served his country in the United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran.

Lansford is preceded in death by his parents, His wife Linda Kalicky Stephens; Brothers Hansford Stephens, Sherman Stephens, William Doc Stephens, and an Infant brother Earnest Mitchell Stephens.

Survivors include his daughters; Kimberly (Daniel) Winchester, Pine Knot, Ky., Sherry (Bill) Berry Stearns, KY. Son Lansford Dwayne Stephens and wife Cassandra Pine Knot, Ky. Grandchildren; KaDee Winchester; CeDe Winchester; Billy Berry fiancee (Chelsea Whitehead); Brooklyn Berry fiancee (Kyle Jones); Tasha Miller (Jared); Kayla Wheland (Nicholas); Kayla Berry; and Mathew Berry. Great grandchildren; Jase Miller, Genesis Winchester; Weston Winchester, Laken Gregory, Ryder Gregory, and one on the way Clayton Reed Berry. His surviving Nieces and Nephews are Sandra Roberts, Renee Laxton, Ashley Dawson, William Stehphens, Jeff Stephens, and Darin Stephens. Many friends whom he loved dearly.

Graveside services will be held Friday March 27, 2026, 1pm at the Hayes Creek Cemetery.
