Laura Dixon

Laura Dixon, age 79 years, of Marshes Siding, Kentucky died Sunday, September 6, 2026 at the Big Southfork Medical Center in Oneida, Tennessee.

She was born in Parkers Lake, Kentucky on June 18, 1947 the daughter of the late Bill and Thursey (Pitman) Dixon. Laura was a homemaker and a member of the South Pine Knot Church of God.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, William Cantor, Steve Dixon, Johnny Dixon, Vola Dixon, David Dixon, and Johnny Cantor.

Survivors include her brother, Gene Dixon of Indianapolis, Indiana; sister, Margaret Maxey of Revelo, Kentucky; a very special friend, Leon New; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2pm Thursday, September 10, 2026 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Anthony Rose and Bro. Ryan Wells officiating. Burial will follow in the Roberts Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 12pm Thursday at the Funeral Home.
