Lendle “Jimmy” Lee Ridner, age 75 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died Friday March 11, 2022 at his home.
He was born in Jellico, Tennessee on September 30, 1946 the son of Thomas Leonard Ridner and Emma Jean (King) Ridner. Jimmy had retired as a truck driver was the assistant Pastor of Greenwood Freedom Worship. He enjoyed camping, 4-wheeling, riding motorcycles, going to church, but especially his grandchildren.
His parents; wife, Betty Irene (Kidd) Ridner; son Russell Leon Ridner; brother, Graylon Ridner; and sisters, Carolyn King and Marilyn Rose Ridner precede him in death.
Survivors include his daughters, Gail Sexton (Joe) of Chatsworth, Georgia, Amanda Stephens of Whitley City, Kentucky; and Jenny Ridner of Pine Knot, Kentucky; step-daughters, Ann Swain (Randy) of Whitley City, Kentucky and Wendy Slavey (Amp) of Strunk, Kentucky; brothers, William (Ducky) Ridner (Rhonda), Johnny Ridner (Dana), Freddie Ridner, and Scotty Ridner all of Pine Knot, Kentucky; sisters, Retha Creekmore of Strunk, Kentucky, Faye Garland of Lexington, Kentucky, and Sherry Kidd of Pine Knot, Kentucky; grandchildren, Kaylee Crabtree, Cameron Ridner, Cynthia Crabtree, Blaine Stephens, Dylan Sexton, Stephanie Sexton, Kelly Stephens, Autumn Watters, Dawson Swain, Colton Sexton, Tryntin McCulley, Tanner McCulley, and Kally Slavey; and great grandchildren, Brettley Crabtree, Ambreona West, Maverick Strunk, Andi Crabtree, Kyra Watters, Piper Watters, Enslee Crabtree, Drake Stephens, Brycen Bell, Lexus Strunk, and Ace Cooper.
Funeral services will be held 2pm Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at the Greenwood Freedom Worship with Bro. Russell Keith officiating. Burial will follow in the Keith Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 12pm Tuesday at the Church.
