LEROY WALLEN, JR.

Leroy Wallen, Jr. age 40, of Helenwood, Tennessee, formerly of McCreary County, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018.

Funeral services will be held TuesdayMardch 6, 2018,  at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCreary County Funeral Home.  Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time for services.

In accordance with his wishes, he will be cremated.

Born July 19, 1977, in Somerset, Kentucky, he was the son of Leroy Wallen and Joyce (King) Conatser.  Surviving family include his father Leroy Wallen and wife Ginger of Stearns, his mother Joyce Conatser and her late husband Tony of Helenwood, Tennessee, his wife Melanie (Taylor) Wallen of Ohio, his children: Cassandra Wallen and Bethany Wallen both of California, Cameron Spradlin of Pine Knot, Patience Wallen and Lydia Wallen both of Helenwood, Andrew J. Wallen and Kiaan Wallen both of Tell City, Indiana, Chloe Wallen of Owensboro, Kentucky, Shelby Larson, Cameron Barnett and Mercedes Bundy all of Tell City, Indiana.

He has three brothers: Kenneth Wallen of Owensboro, Kentucky, Mikel Wallen of Pine Knot, William Ray Conatser of Huntsville, and three sisters: Natasha Worley of Stearns, Tracey Coffey of Helenwood and Amber Conatser of Oneida.

Leroy had been a truck driver.  He served his country in the US Navy.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and being outdoors.
