LINCOLN "GENE" DIXON

Lincoln Eugene “Gene” Dixon, age 73 years, of Pine Knot, Kentucky, died Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky.

He was born in McCreary County, Kentucky, on May 29, 1945, the son of the late William Skylo and Mary (Lynch) Dixon. Gene was a butcher, a member of the Murphy Ridge Church of God, and loved fishing and hunting.

Preceding him in death are his parents; wives, Nelda Jean (Webb) Dixon and Leona (Godsey) Dixon; and sisters, Barbara Mann and Carol King.

Survivors include his sons, Will Dixon (Sherry) of Whitley City and Danny Dixon of Pine Knot; brothers, Bill Dixon and Bob Dixon both of Whitley City, Kentucky; sisters, Della Stephens and Ella Perry both of Whitley City, and Tina of Monticello; step-children, Vance, Billie Jo, Connie, and Barbara; grandchildren, Kyle, Brandon, and Jared; step grandchildren, Brooklyn, Breanna, Ryan, Don, and Rodney, and numerous other step-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 1pm at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Dean Phillips officiating.  Burial to follow in the Taylor Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11am Saturday at the funeral home.
