Louanne F Walker

Louanne F. Walker, passed from this life on Wednesday, January 28, 2015, at her home in Whitley City, Kentucky.  She had attained the age of 67 years, 7 months and 2 days.

She was born in Somerset, Kentucky, on June 26, 1947 to the late Louis and Nell (Garland) Walker.  Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers; Charles Walker, Hiram Walker and Edwin Mauney.

She is survived by two sons; Aaron Phillips (and wife Melanie) of New Albany, Indiana and Adam Phillips (and wife Monica) of Whitley City, Kentucky, three grandchildren; Lacey, Samuel and Gabriel Phillips, and a sister; Norma Walker of Cincinnati.  She had many friends and three special caregivers; Janice Morgan, Rhonda Micklos and Winona Hatfield.

Ms. Walker was a case worker for the State of Kentucky and loved reading and traveling. Colorado was one of her favorite places to visit.  She had a special passion for dogs and the family has asked that donations may be made as an expression of sympathy to the ASPCA on her behalf.

A memorial service will be held graveside, at the Walker’s Chapel Cemetery on Saturday, January 31, 2015, at 2:00 p.m.
