Louise DeLaughter, age 62 of Whitley City, Kentucky, left this life, Tuesday, October 12 2021, at Corbin Medical Center.

She was born in Bogalusa, Louisiana, on July 26, 1959. She is the daughter of Bonnie Lee Barber. She spent her life devoted to her family raising four sons and then raising four grandchildren. She loved cooking, reading, watching birds and spending all her time with her family. She loved being surrounded by her family and animals. She was kind and helped anyone that needed extra love.
She is survived by her loving husband, Terry DeLaughter of 44 years. Her sons; Chris DeLaughter of Whitley City, Jason and wife Victoria DeLaughter of Whitley City, Jeremy and wife Charli DeLaughter of Whitley City, and Billy and his wife Brittany DeLaughter of Cincinnati, Ohio. Her grandchildren; Natalia, Cheyenne, Cody, Jazmine, James, Blaze and Moon DeLaughter, Mother-In-Law; Betty and her husband Bill Summit, Niece; Margaret Racca and her best friend Vicki and her husband Mike Newman.
She joins in death her mother; Bonnie Lee Barber, sister; Sharon Corkern, sister; Ann and husband Mike Racca, and nephew; Will Racca.
She always quoted, “Remember me with smiles and laughter, for that is how I will remember you all. If you can only remember me with tears, then don’t remember me at all”.
Funeral service for Louise DeLaughter are Monday, October 18, 2021, in the chapel of the McCreary County Funeral Home at 1:00 PM with Brother Bruce Dixon officiating, visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time for the funeral service. Burial will follow in the Whitley City Church of God cemetery.
