Lowell Coffey

June 29, 1943 — February 15, 2018

Lowell Coffey age 74, husband of Donna Kay Coffey, of Stearns, Kentucky passed from this life on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 19, 2018 at 3:00 pm at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Coffey and Bro. Alan Coffey. He will be laid to rest at the Corder Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday after 6:00 pm at the funeral home.

He was born on June 29, 1943 in Hill Top, Kentucky to the late Henry and Minnie L. (Jones) Coffey. Lowell was of the Baptist Faith and had made his living as a truck driver for several years. In his spare time, he enjoyed being outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and jeep rides. Lowell also enjoyed playing guitar, horse shoes, watching NASCAR and UK Basketball.

Preceding him in death are his parents, a brother, Thurston Coffey and a sister, Sally Ruth Oglesby.

Surviving family include his wife, Donna Kay Coffey; a son, Lowell Brandon Coffey and wife, Macayla, of Barbourville, Kentucky; daughter, Amy Jackson and husband, Adam, of Corbin, Kentucky; a brother, Joe Coffey of Stearns; sisters, Alice Coffey and husband, Curtis, of Anderson, Indiana, Doris Ross and husband, Gary, of Batavia, Ohio, and Jean Waters and husband, Steve, of Stearns; grandchildren, Hannah Marie Warman, Kaylee Savanah Warman, and Jacelyn McKennah Horton; a brother-in-law, Jim Oglesby of Greenville, Kentucky; a sister-in-law, Sue Coffey of Anderson, Indiana, and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

McCreary County Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements for Mr. Lowell Coffey.
