(January 2, 1924 - July 7, 2015)Lucy Myree Bryant, 91 of Milan passed away Tuesday July 7, 2015 at University Hospital in Cincinnati. Lucy was born Wednesday January 2, 1924 in Honeybee, Kentucky the daughter of Hartle and Flora (Perry) Bryant. She married Doyal Bryant October 9, 1951 and he preceded her in death April 9, 2014. Lucy worked in the Milan High School Cafeteria for 22 years, and was a former member of the Milan Town Board. She was a longtime member of the Milan First Baptist Church. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, crouching, quilting, and family time. Lucy is survived by sons Charles Bryant of Milan, Andrew Bryant of Versailles, Darrell Bryant and Harold Bryant both of Bloomington, daughters Betty Henschen of Hanover and Glenda Raisor of Milan, sister Dora Sumner, 10 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by 1 brother, 3 sisters, husband Doyle and her parents. Local visitation for Lucy will be 5-7PM Friday July 10, at Laws-Carr-Moore Funeral Home, Milan, and 1-3 Saturday July 11 at McCreary County Funeral Home at Whitley City, Kentucky. Services will be 3PM Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow Higginbotham Cemetery at Whitley City. Memorials may be made to Milan First Baptist Church or Higginbotham Cemetery.
