Manford Winchester, age 81 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died March 3, 2022 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky.
He was born in Beech Grove, Kentucky on August 29, 1940 the son of Clarence and Velva (Dobbs) Winchester. Manford had worked as a truck driver, was a member of the Abundant Life United Pentecostal Church, enjoyed mowing his yard and fishing.
His parents; daughter, Penny Winchester; and brother, Denver Winchester precede him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Geraldine (Berry) Winchester of Pine Knot, Kentucky; children, Manford Junior Winchester (Brenda) of Whitley City, Teresa Duncan of Whitley City, Pam Bryant of Whitley City, Mary Terry of Whitley City, Doris Gilreath (Clay) of Pine Knot, and Tony Winchester (Sug) of Whitley City; brothers, Charles Winchester of Pine Knot, Larry Winchester (Darlene) of Pine Knot, Roger Winchester (Cindy) of Stearns, and Ronnie Winchester of Williamsburg; sisters, Shirley Gibson of Stearns, Janice Rose (Gary) of Parkers Lake, Brenda Taylor (Mike) of Stearns, and Barbara Berry (Mike) of Stearns; step children, Eric Glancy (Tonya), Jon Glancy (April), TyAnn Chotinanda (Kan), and Angela Goble (William); grandchildren, Samantha Hill, Jimmy Joe Strunk, James Strunk, Ashley Terry, Wesley Terry, Victoria Crabtree, Nakisha Ridener, Falisha Ross, Clarence Ryan Winchester, Calijah Winchester, Tony Wayne Genoe Winchester, Jacob Genoe and Tiffany Taylor; 23 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; also friend and caregiver Shay Goodin.
Funeral services will be held 12pm Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at the McCreary County Funeral Home with Bro. Virgil Gibson and Bro. Calijah Winchester officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Knot Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 6pm Monday, March 7, 2022 at the Funeral Home.
