Margaret L. Jones

Margaret L. Jones, age 59 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died Sunday, May 18, 2025 at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset, Kentucky.

She was born in Alum Ford Community of McCreary County, Kentucky on July 23, 1965 the daughter of the late Obie and Gladys (Tucker) Phillips. Margaret had worked for LeSportSac and was a member of the Freedom United Baptist Church, and enjoyed watching TV.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Dwight Phillips and Roger Phillips; and sister, Linda Musgrove.

Survivors include her sons, Christopher Allen Phillips of Whitley City, Kentucky, Johnathon Michael Jones of Monticello, Kentucky, and Roger Wade Jones of Whitley City, Kentucky; brother, Elwood Phillips of Pine Knot, Kentucky; sister, Betty Jo Stephens of Lake City, Florida; and grandchildren, Everlee Grace Jones, Mackenzie Phillips, Mayai Phillips, Devin Stephens, and Madison Stephens.

Graveside services will be held 11am Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at the Davis Cemetery with Bro. Dwight Davis and Bro. Rayburn Sweet officiating.
